Roomscapes Cabinetry and Design Center always brings inspiring renovation ideas on Home Bunch, and if this is the first time you’re seeing their work, I highly recommend you to see this post. It should drop your jaw, just as much this bathroom renovation will.
Here, the designer shares more insights on this project:
“While transforming this builder-grade master bathroom; we kept the same overall footprint without expanding into additional space. The removal of partition walls at the shower and toilet area greatly enhanced the openness of the room and allowed light to flood the entire space. Pattern and texture were used thoughtfully in the material selections to allow for a light & airy bath, while creating a fresh aesthetic that is neutral yet anything but boring.”

Before & After Bathroom Renovation
“From the very first meeting, our California raised client made it very clear that she wanted the space to reflect the casual California vibe, while remaining practical. She requested the space to feel brighter and more modern without veering too far from the traditional style of the home. It was important to keep both a separate tub and try to incorporate a larger shower stall with a bench.”
Toilet: Kohler.
Before:
“On this side, we removed an existing wall between the vanity and toilet and designed a custom furniture style vanity to keep the areas balanced and open.”
After:
“Adding a warm and natural touch to the space is the new custom stained wood vanity with integrated hardware.”
Mirror: here, here & here – similar.
Faucet & Sink
Faucet: Purist Widespread bathroom sink faucet with low cross handles.
Sink: Verticyl Rectangle under-mount bathroom sink in White.
Elements
“The new master bath truly maximizes the open feeling while bringing a tactile and natural feel with its textured floors and walls.”
Vanity: Custom, made out of Hard Maple with a custom matte finish.
Storage
“The combination of drawers and open shelving created sleek storage solutions and captured the aesthetic the client desired.”
Floor Tile
Floor tile is Jeffrey Court, Rotunda Hartford 9-1/4″ x 12-3/8″ mosaic in White marble and Grey porcelain – Other Beautiful Tiles: here, here, here, here & here.
Before Tub:
“To accomplish the necessary and wish-list items, we started by removing the wall between the cave-like shower stall and dated corner tub.”
Before Shower:
The shower area felt dark and almost claustrophobic.
After:
By incorporating a rectangular soaking tub, we were able to reorient it in the space to connect it to a much larger shower stall.”
Tub
Tub is Kohler Underscore Rectangle 60″ x 32″ undermount bath.
Quartz
“The undermount soaking bathtub allowed us to install a quartz countertop that flowed through the shower to act as a bench seat.”
Tub Filler
Tub filler is Kohler Purist.
Shine
The finish is Polished Chrome. How gorgeous is this tub filler?!
Shower After:
“The addition of the glass surround kept the area open and allowed the natural light to penetrate the shower area.”
Shower floor tile is Porcelanosa, Paradise Arrow 11″ x 11″ matte mosaic.
Wall Tile
Tile on walls is by Jeffrey Court Breakwater 6″ x 18″ glazed in Mist – similar here.
Plumbing Fixtures are all Kohler.
Shower Niche
The niche tile is the same as the flooring; Porcelanosa, Paradise Arrow 11″ x 11″ matte mosaic.
Get Inspired!
“We focused a great deal on overall material selections for this master bath, with selections that felt special and added character while remaining neutral. In order to stick to the client’s firm budget and per their request to use “anything but the typical white subway tile”, an inexpensive large-scale tile was used around most of the bathroom and for that wow factor we splurged on a mosaic floor tile adding unexpected texture and a strong design punch.”
Many thanks to the designer for sharing the details above!
